Emerald Chat / Terms of Service

Terms of Service
This is the deal between you and Emerald Chat whenever you use emeraldchat.cam or anything linked from it. Matching, messaging or buying coins means you have agreed. We kept the language plain on purpose, so it is worth the few minutes.
Who can join
- You have to be at least 18, and old enough to sign a contract where you live.
- One person per account. Keep your sign-in private; activity on your account is your responsibility.
- If we have previously removed you from Emerald Chat, you may not open a new account.
What Emerald Chat offers
Emerald Chat pairs adults at random for one-on-one video, voice or text chat. It also includes an online list where you can ask a specific person for a private call, live rooms, message translation, profiles, follows and direct messages. Features may change, pause or be withdrawn as the product develops.
Every match is a stranger. We cannot guarantee who you meet or how they behave, though we act on reports and enforce the Community Guidelines.
Free matches and the Reward Center
New members receive some free matches to begin with. The Reward Center at the top of the matching screen runs a countdown; when it ends you can claim a reward, such as free matches or coins, and a fresh countdown starts from the moment you claim. How much each reward is worth and how long the countdown runs are set by us and may change without notice. Rewards cannot be exchanged for money.
Coins, VIP and payments
- Coins are a digital item for use on Emerald Chat only. They pay for matching after the free ones are gone, for private one-on-one calls, for gifts and for entry to paid live rooms.
- Coins are a digital item with no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for money, shifted to someone else or refunded, unless a law where you live says otherwise.
- A balance that cannot cover a paid feature triggers a top-up screen, never a silent charge or a call that starts by itself.
- VIP is an optional membership. It comes with a badge you may hide, and members can be offered their own prices on coin packs.
- Prices shown at checkout are final for that purchase. Payments are handled by third-party processors under their own terms.
- Refused or reversed charges may lead to the coins involved being removed and the account being restricted.
How you agree to behave
The Community Guidelines bind every account. The gist: no nudity or sexual content, no harassment, no hate, nothing involving minors, no scams or requests for money, no spam, and no recording or sharing other people without their permission.
What you share
You keep ownership of what you post, such as your profile photo, bio and messages. By posting it you let Emerald Chat store it and show it where the service needs to. We may take down anything that breaks these terms or the guidelines.
Suspension and closing an account
An account that ignores these terms, endangers other people or drags Emerald Chat into legal trouble can be warned, limited, paused or shut. Serious breaches can mean immediate removal. You can close your own account at any point by emailing [email protected]. Unused coins are lost when an account closes, except where the law requires something different.
Believe an account decision got it wrong? Tell support what happened and include the specifics. The banned account guide explains what to include.
Disclaimers and limits
Emerald Chat is offered as it is and as available. We do not promise uninterrupted service, a match every time, or that every member will behave well. Where the law permits it, Emerald Chat is not responsible for knock-on or indirect losses, and our total liability is capped at what you recently paid us for the part of the service the claim concerns.
Updates and contact
We may revise these terms. When we do, the date above changes, and important revisions are flagged in the product. Carrying on with Emerald Chat once a revision is live counts as agreeing to it. Questions go to [email protected].
